Segesta. Archeologic place castled on mount Barbaro in a particular strategic position overlooking the underlying territory, Segesta was, with Erice, one of the most important installations of the Elymians, people of anatolic origin, settled in the occidental sicilian area. The 5th Siculian-Doric temple stands imposingly on a hillock in the middle of a picturesque valley. The Greek theatre, carved in the rock and dated to the 2nd century BC, overlooks the valley from the top of mount Barbaro.

Zingaro. The first natural reserve founded in Sicily: 7km of coastline overlooking a cristalline sea and overhung by dolomitic-calcareous rocks. It's running by walk through a little line dug in the mountain. This area is the nesting territory for dozens of avian species: peregrine falcons, Bonelli's eagles, buzzards, kestrels, kites. The Reserve is a real oasis of biodiversity, also rich in many rare native plants like the dwarf palm. In the middle of the Reserve the prehistoric cave of Uzzo attests to the first human settlements in this area.

Erice. On the top of the mount Saint Giuliano, among the silent clouds, lies the town of Erice, overlooking Trapani from a superb scenic location. Erice was inhabited by the elymians, who erected a temple dedicated to the worship of the godness of fecundity and love. On the ruins of the temple stands the Castelo di Venere, fortified during the normann rule. Next to it there are the Giardini del Balio, overlooked by medieval towers. The town planning of Erice's oldest part is primarily medieval in character, with little squares and narrow winding alleys opening into lovely courtyards full of flowers. in Erice there are more than 60 churches, which every summer resound with medieval music, revived by world-famous musicians during a festival called Settimana di musica Medievale e Rinascimentale.

Mozia. Islet of 40 hectares of the Marsala's Riserva dello Stagnone. one of the most important phoenician and cartaginian settlements in the Mediterranean, Mozia became a strategic site awing to its vicinity to powerfull Carthage. A road that has been sumerged by see but still visible from above, was used until recently by donkey-carts.

Selinunte. City of greek origin founded on half of the 7nd century BC, Selinunte is the most important archeological zone of the world. The "C" temple is one of the oldest example of dori style and dates back to the first half of the 6th century BC, but the most enchanting of all remains is the "E" temple. It has been almost entirely reconstructed and its front part was adorned with some metopes representing figures. The old artistic tradition of Selinunte is attested by the original little statue of the Efebo.
